Hi Prayer Warriors!
 
 
Please keep us in your prayers - we are in North Carolina, Syd out at Prayer Breakfasts most mornings from 5.30 onwards! Liz, Rachel and Kyla will be in Atlanta at the Foursquare National Women's Conference and also at a further Foursquare Global Womens' Dialogue. If you are there, try to link up!
 
Praise the Lord for His provision this past month.  Despite the decrease in our personal support due to churches being hit by the recession, the Lord provided through His people and we want to thank everyone who gave and continues to give.  Join with us in prayer that churches do not suffer from the recession, but grow stronger because of it!
 
We are asking prayer for the massive program coming up in May and June in UK, Nicaragua and Mexico. 
 
UK
 
May 17 - 23 is "Love Ashford" where we will be building on last year's very successful multi-cultural festival.  Please let us know if you want to join us. 
 
We are also working with the Centre for Contemporary Ministries in the UK to launch an initiative for prayer, repentance and evangelism in the UK centered around the Jimmy and Carol Owens musical "Heal Our Land" on May 31. The Global Day of Prayer in London is hoping to stage the event as a part of their program in the 20,000 seater O2 Centre. We are recruiting musicians and singers and pray that this will "spin off" into outreaches in 4 cities reaching 10s of thousands that include multi-cultural festivals for evangelism throughout 2009 and 2010. Pray for favor as we have applied for grants for this and also another project, a "message" based concert targeted at young people globally.  We have spoken to a number of interested parties, including Josh, Rachel and Raul who are very interested.
 
PRAYER POINTS
  • Finances for our friends hiring the O2 centre, for staging the Heal Our Land project in the UK, for the production of a Heal Our Land CD for UK
  • A musical director, band and singers to come forward
  • For us to receive grant money we have applied for
  • For MANY to be saved
  • For churches to unite
 
NICARAGUA 
The Nicaragua mission (June 13 - 23)  this year will include the bike mission (we want to raise funds for at least 120 bikes for Pastors) plus large women's conferences, children's and youth missions and a baseball clinic for youngsters!  The Pastors' wives are looking forward to a Retreat too!
Pray for:
  • Finances for bikes for Pastors $100 each
  • Team members to be blessed and strengthened as they prepare to join us (19 team members are already signed up)
  • Victor and Angela Benitez as they plan the mission
 
  • In   Mexico we are hoping to develop the Pastor's wives retreats and introduce a bike mission in one area there.
  • Pray for the mission to come together
 
The budget for what we have planned for the next year is in the region of $500,000. We have never even imagined we could raise this kind of funding, but with God all things are possible.
 
Pray, pray, pray for the advance of the church and not the retreat in these days of challenge, and for those with the resources to stand with those who evangelize!
