Please pray for the Doyle's as they engage in a very full schedule Sept. - Dec.  2008

Dear Prayer Warriors and Partners in the Ministry              Sept./Oct. 2008

Our schedule took us south where we met up with many friends from the past.

Our first stop was Cross Point Vineyard, Centerville, Ohio (formerly First Baptist, the church Liz was saved in and where Syd & Liz were married 35 years ago).  We always enjoy fellowship there, always blessed by their generous giving and prayer support.  A special gift from God came our way when Marti Daum Wynn - Now living in Wasilla, Alaska, dropped in to see Liz.  Marti is a friend from Liz's High School years when Liz introduced her to Jesus.  She went on to be a missionary in Jamaica, Peru and Alaska. It was the first time they had seen each other since 1972!  Another surprise was in store when the Dayton Daily News contacted Liz for an interview.

Member of the County Music Hall of Fame and friend, George Hamilton IV, invited us to visit backstage at the Grand Ole Opry while we were visiting our son Josh and Jenny and their 2 children in Nashville.

We then traveled south to Atlanta, Georgia teaching a DTS at "Youth With A Mission" with leaders Jeff and Sue Murton from ACF in England. Twenty one young people are on a mission across the USA having lectures and involved in street mission.  They came from USA, UK, Denmark, S. Korea, Canada and Germany. Syd spoke on Cross Cultural Ministry and Islam. Liz taught on Evangelism.

We also renewed contact with friends Gary & Marge Anthony - In 1985 the Anthony's visited us in England for 3 months. As a result of that visit their children were introduced to missions and all have been seriously engaged in missions around the world since. Pastor Mark Anthony, Pastor of Trinity Christian Fellowship, where we were preached, received his call to ministry in Ashford during that trip.  Jack & Stephanie Wolfe - Pastors of "My Epic Faith" visited Ashford 24 years ago when they came on mission to the UK. We shared in their service Sunday and were blessed by their incredible hospitality.  We also met up with other friends and supporters from Liz’s childhood as well as our days in Charlotte, NC.

We traveled on to Charlotte to be with our daughter, Rachel and her husband, Raul getting ready to welcome their first child. Living Waters Church in Mooresville, NC. Offered hospitality and we again enjoyed ministering with them.

Kyla Elizabeth Martinez was born August 28 at 11:49am. 7lbs. 13oz.  She was the prettiest baby in the hospital! We are thrilled!

Thank you for your prayers!

Rachel writes,  “My friend Christina's baby, Amelia Elizabeth, was born Sept. 16! Just in case you forgot, Christina and I were in a car accident early on in our pregnancies, but now both of our daughters are here safe and sound, praise God!

For your prayers:

Ordination

After 6 years of being licensed ministers, Syd & Liz will both be ordained by the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel Oct. 28 at the Great Lakes Regional Conference.  One of our supporting churches, Life Bridge, in Ft. Wayne, IN will be the host of the event.  Pastor Jack Hayford will be present for the Conference.  If you want to know more about this event, give us a call 508 864 6145.

Support

Pray with us for increased prayer and financial support.  We have been blessed by you, our supporters, over these past 10 years, your prayers and finances keeping us “on the field”.  The rising cost of living is a challenge to us, we do not receive a salary, so we are praying for another 5 churches and 10 individuals to pledge monthly support.

Some have asked how they can help us.  In USA, please make checks payable to Nations Light Ministries and send to

P.O. Box 155, Dundee, MI 48131
.  In the UK, you can send your cheques made out to Nations Light Ministries to Allison Hill,
12 Freathy Lane
, Kennington, Ashford, Kent TN25 4 QR, England.

We would also value an opportunity to speak to your church or prayer group and share what the Lord is doing around the world today.  We are also available to bring evangelism teams, and training to your town or city.

We have also launched a new “blog”.  We hope to keep you up to date with our journeys.     http://goingplaceswithgod.blogspot.com/

UK

We will be traveling to the UK to work with the Centre for Contemporary Ministries

In Harrogate where we be will promoting evangelism as a part of the Sharing Show at the Christian Resources Exhibition.  Love Leicester, a result of the Sharing Show, will be having a massive outreach in the city centre Sat. 20th.

“This Saturday we are holding a city-wide evangelistic event from 11am to 4pm right in the very heart of the City centre.  A large stage stretching almost the width of the Square will be set up, together with sound equipment.  Included will be live worship band, testimonies, preaching the word, puppets and dance for the children, prayer & healing tent.  We believe this to be the largest evangelistic open-air event in the region.  For reasons that I will not elaborate on, we feel this is a turning-point for Leicester.  This is a culmination of over 10 years of fervent city-wide prayer.  God has had to do some serious work in us over the years to get us to this point where an event of such proportions is possible. Many churches are involved - in itself a miracle of healing, praise God!

This city, as most of you know, has a massive immigrant population - every continent on the globe is represented here and so our heart is to reach them all with the gospel, as well as the local tribe!   We pray that we have done everything to prepare for the Holy Spirit to bring these precious people to Jesus.  We have over 30 Counselors - all trained. Some old, some young! Some have foreign language skills to interpret for those coming forward for prayer/salvation who do not speak English.   A prayer -for -healing tent where those anointed to pray for healing will be kept busy!  There are also African, Korean, Asian Pastors and Evangelists giving the Word and making the call for Salvation.”

May the same kind of excitement be generated for the North of England to be engaged in evangelism !behalf of JESUS LOVES LEICESTERSHIRE Steering group.

In N. Ireland we will be visiting Syd’s family and exploring opportunities for evangelism in 2009.

On Oct. 4 we will be attending an important meeting taking place in the Emmanuel Centre, London. Many leaders will be meeting to pray about and talk through what the Lord is saying about the future of Britain.

In November we will be ministering to Pastors’ wives and Bible Colleges and churches in Monterey and Matamores, Mexico.
