The Doyle's visit Nicaragua, Columbia and Venezuela

 July/August 2007

Dear Prayer Warriors and Partners in the Ministry,

There are no words to express our deep gratitude for your prayer and generous geefinancial support as we continue to “go places with GOD”.  Your support of  us us  personally keeps us available to obey Him and go where He sends us. Your further supsupport for the projects we present brings great blessing and much needed

ministry resources for those to whom we go.

You, our prayer force, are moving in some of the most strategic places on earth, both politically and spiritually, as you “come with us” in prayer.  The Believers in Nicaragua, Venezuela and Columbia face new challenges from spiritual powers and principalities reflected “on the ground”.  Alliances are being formed or strengthened by these governments with Iran and Cuba.  Even while we were there, the Leaders of these nations were having  “talks” and discussing strategy that could have very significant  consequences for the churches in those countries as well as the USA.

We believe that your prayers and generous gifts again brought great encouragement and broke down strongholds in the heavenlies over the nations where we were.  In the next few months we will be calling you again to pray for us.  We have much more to share with you personally, please invite us to your church or prayer group!

NICARAGUA   June 28 - July 6

Syd and Jeff Theus Liz’s sister’s husband, launched the Dr. R.L. Preston Memorial Fund project using finances raised after his home-going in a 3 – fold initiative. This highlighted Dad’s love of sports, his desire to win people to Jesus and finally his commitment to education.

We prayed that we could “beat” our previous record of providing 21 bikes for Pastors, the cost of a bike represents about 2 months wages for many of these Pastors ($100).  You generously gave enough money to purchase 53 bicycles!  Special thanks to Cross Point Vineyard ChurchCenterville, Ohio for providing 31 of those bikes!  Westminster, MA Foursquare Church Redemption Rock provided extra funding to buy special Memorial T Shirts and “Honeytree” Spanish Cassettes for Pastors and Leaders.

Pastor Victor Benitez and his 8 man team of Pastors from various churches in Masatepe took Syd’s team of Jeff and his friend, Worth, both educators; Pastor Bill Browning of Cross Point Vineyard Church, Centerville, Ohio, and Ed Grimes, a former student of Syd’s at the New  England Foursquare Bible Institute to San Francisco Libre, 45 mins off the beaten track.   They slept in tents in a very hot area right beside a boiling volcanic lake filled with deep lava ash, up to their knees. 150 riders joined the 26 Pastors from the town on a 3 hour bike ride finishing with a gathering on a street corner where they preached the Gospel and saw 30+ come to Christ.

They gave out lots of clothing and T shirts with Dad Preston's picture on the front and names of all the areas they have ministered in Nicaragua over the past 6 years.  They also passed out hundreds of tracts to the homes in the area.  26 Pastors participating in San Francisco Libre were given bikes.

100 Leaders attended a leaders seminar in Masatepe and 20 pastors, and 1 evangelist were given bikes.

Every Pastor receiving a bike has committed to be a part of the bike ride in RIVAS at the same time next year 2008.   Start saving and praying if you would like to be on next year's team.

Two team members,Worth, an assistant Supt. in N.C. and Jeff, a middle school principle, held a seminar for 20 school teachers in Masatepe. Praise the Lord for such qualified men sharing their experiences with these dear dedicated teachers. 6 teachers received bicycles.  This is a great blessing for these young people who give so much for so little.

 VENEZUELA & COLUMBIA
July 4 - 13th

Liz and her team, featuring the challenging ministry of Nori Chesney and the beautiful musical ministry of Nancy “Honeytree” Miller joined Alva Contreras, the wife of the Foursquare Central American Regional Coordinator,  in Las Piedras, Venezuela (in sight of the world’s largest oil refinery) and Medellin, Columbia (known for its history of drug cartels) for Pastor's wife's Retreats.   The theme for the Retreats was “Women of Valor, Reaching the Goal”, “Pressing on to  take hold of that for which Christ took hold of me.” Phil. 3:12 300 ladies attended the meetings in Venezuela.  We heard of their concern over recent events and impending laws concerning the education of their children under the new regime.  Pray for these dear women in these uncertain times.
While in Venezuela and preparing to go to Columbia our hosts received a threat.

Ladies in Venezuela praying for the nations!         The future of Columbia!

Key leaders of Foursquare Colombia received two threatening letters from an unknown group that claimed to have ties to a national terrorist movement. We asked you to pray about this.  These are real dangers being faced by pastors and their families. Praise the Lord, that despite these threats, the national Leader's wife of Foursquare was with us.  Please pray that the spiritual attack on the church will be broken completely.  During our time with the 65 wives that joined us on the Retreat one woman had a phone call that government soldiers and helicopters were surrounding her village because a group of terrorists had been spotted there. She wants to go back to her church called "Forgiveness" and present a drama in the center of the city about Jesus and His forgiveness!

Thank you for supporting us in offering these times of refreshing and empowerment to these women around the world.
